I was honored when my dear friend and inspiring colleague Anna Baltzer asked me to write a few words on what the US Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation means to us in the Palestinian Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) National Committee (BNC). As the largest coalition of U.S. organizations working for the comprehensive, UN-stipulated rights of the Palestinian people and towards ending U.S. complicity in Israel’s regime of occupation, colonization and apartheid which denies those rights, the US Campaign is simply the BNC’s most important strategic ally and partner in the U.S.
The widely recognized growth of the BDS movement and its impact across the U.S. today can be largely credited to US Campaign-affiliated organizations and groups. The US Campaign and its affiliates are home to many of the brightest, most principled and sophisticated human rights activists promoting Palestinian freedom, justice and equality in everyday U.S. towns and cities, churches and interfaith groups, in academic associations, on campuses, among cultural workers and far beyond.
In a few days, as we receive the New Year, many of us will look back at 2013 and remember the horrors of Israel's ongoing siege of Gaza; loved ones who were victimized by Israel's relentless belligerence and criminal actions; homes that were demolished; and whole Palestinian communities who were ethnically cleansed and others who are waiting for the all-too-familiar yet still chilling guillotine to fall.
But many of us in the BDS movement will also remember 2013 as the year when Stephen Hawking decided to respect our boycott picket line and boycott a conference in Israel and the Asian-American Studies Association, the American Studies Association, the Native American and Indigenous Studies Association and the Association for Humanist Sociology joined the academic boycott of Israel; when SodaStream felt the heat of boycotts and protests worldwide, including by the first U.S. interfaith boycott coalition; when the French company and occupation profiteer Veolia was compelled to both terminate its settlement bus lines services on West Bank apartheid roads and to withdraw from a major project in the U.S. under pressure from a broad coalition of groups in St. Louis, and retirement giant TIAA-CREF divested its own Social Choice Fund from Veolia; and when Students for Justice in Palestine across the U.S. succeeded in passing student council resolutions supporting divestment from companies involved in Israel's occupation and violations of human rights.
In so many of these bright instances, the US Campaign helped provide critical leadership and/or supported its affiliates holding the torch. But the US Campaign cannot continue its work without the support of people like you.

'Secretary General thanks Belgium for its contribution as a reliable Ally'
Brussels, 17 Dec. 2012
The NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen congratulated Belgium for its important role in NATO-led operations during a meeting with the Belgian Prime Minister Elio di Rupo and Defence Minister Pieter De Crem.
"Your soldiers and trainers in Kabul and Kunduz do an outstanding job. Your jet fighters provide necessary air cover for ISAF troops in Kandahar, “ Mr Fogh Rasmusssen said. “Their work makes a valuable contribution to our goa, to make sure that Afghan troops and police can take full charge of their country’s security by the end of 2014. And due to their courage and dedication, we are making steady progress." The NATO Secretary General also thanked Belgium for its commitment to Afghanistan after 2014.
Mr Fogh Rasmussen welcomed Belgium’s recent decision to deploy fighter jets on a new four-month air policing mission over Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia next September. This is the third time that Belgium is taking up such a mission as part of an Allied rotation. The Secretary General stressed that overall, Belgium’s contributions are even more valuable as they are made in difficult economic times, when Allies have to spend more effectively together. He said that Belgium is playing an important role in multinational projects including NATO’s AWACS surveillance aircraft, and highlighted the country’s cooperation with the Netherlands and Luxembourg, calling it “Smart Defence in action.”
Mr Fogh Rasmussen thanked the Belgian Prime Minister for his country’s commitment to NATO and for its great hospitality for NATO’s Headquarters, present and future.

America's drive for world domination
Although completely unreported by the western media and the U.S. government, the invasion of Iraq in March 2003 by U.S.-led coalition forces was in large part an oil currency war which has been responsible for the death of at least 150,000 civilians.
Journalism in the Iraq war tended to focus on the Bush administration’s foibles and the chaotic political wrangling in Baghdad. The attention to civilians and the violence of the war quickly fell into a few reliable tropes: the Shia-Sunni fratricide, spectacular car bombs rather than the quotidian reality of violence, Baghdad-centric reporting (because it was too dangerous to travel), and any glimpse of progress on the ground. While Iraqis were reporting (through blogs and polling) that 80 percent of the violence was due to the U.S. military and the conditions of life were intolerable, this perspective rarely found its way into major news media in the United States.

EU support for Israeli crimes makes it unworthy of Nobel Peace Prize
15 October 2012
The European Union is not “merely hypocritical” in its relationship with Israel, it is “complicit in crimes against the Palestinian people.” This is one of the main conclusions of David Cronin’s compellingly-argued book Europe’s Alliance With Israel: Aiding the Occupation.
In fact, the European Union is steadily upgrading its relations with Israel while overwhelming, and growing, public majorities across Europe’s largest nations view Israel “mostly negatively.” According to a recent BBC GlobeScan poll, Israel is on a par with North Korea as the third worst perceived country in the world (“Views of Europe slide sharply in global poll, while views of China improve,” GlobeScan, 10 May).
With the entrenchment of its occupation, colonization and apartheid against the Palestinians, its fanatic-right government’s hubristic and bellicose policies, and the impressive growth of the non-violent Palestinian-led, global boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement for Palestinian rights, Israel is gradually losing hearts and minds across the world and becoming the world pariah, as South Africa once was, during apartheid.
Desmond Tutu, the South African archbishop, is particularly eloquent in accusing Israel of the crime of apartheid (“Tutu condemns Israeli ‘apartheid’,” BBC News, 29 April 2002). The Russell Tribunal on Palestine — at its 2011 Cape Town session — determined that Israel is practicing apartheid against the entire Palestinian people, according to the definition of apartheid adopted by the UN in 1973 (“Findings of the South African session,” Russell Tribunal on Palestine, 5-7 November 2011 [PDF]).
Worse than South Africa
South African Christian leaders who played a decisive role in fighting apartheid have condemned Israel’s apartheid as “even worse than South African apartheid” (“An Easter message from South Africa to Palestine,” Oikumene, 31 March 2010). And the publisher of Haaretz, an influential Israeli daily, has recently described a fanatic Israeli ideology of “territorial seizure and apartheid” (“The necessary elimination of Israeli democracy,” 25 November 2011).
Increasingly, international jurists, human rights organizations and activists, as well as international public opinion are recognizing Israel’s unique regime of oppression against the Palestinians as encompassing the crime of apartheid, in addition to occupation, ethnic cleansing and settler colonialism.
With its continued siege of Gaza; its untamed construction of illegal colonies and an apartheid wall in the occupied West Bank, especially in and around Jerusalem; its “strategy of Judaization” in Jerusalem, the Galilee, the Jordan Valley and the Naqab (Negev); its adoption of new racist laws and its denial of the UN-stipulated right of the Palestinian refugees to return to their homes from which they were ethnically cleansed during the Nakba, Israel has embarked on a more belligerent and violent phase in its attempt to extinguish the question of Palestine through literally “disappearing” the Palestinians, as Edward Said would say.
The most criminal and pressing aspect of Israel’s oppression of the Palestinians is without doubt its Western and Egyptian-backed hermetic siege of the occupied Gaza Strip, which even British Prime Minister David Cameron has described as a “prison camp” (“David Cameron: Israeli blockade has turned Gaza Strip into a ‘prison camp’,” The Guardian, 27 July 2010). The systematic Israeli targeting of Gaza’s water and sanitation facilities has compounded an already “severe and protracted denial of human dignity,” according to Maxwell Gaylard, the UN humanitarian coordinator for the occupied Palestinian territory, causing “a steep decline in standards of living for the [Palestinians] of Gaza, characterized by erosion of livelihoods, destruction and degradation of basic structure, and a marked downturn in the delivery and quality of vital services in health, water and sanitation” (“Humanitarian organizations deeply concerned about the ongoing water and sanitation crisis in Gaza,” Association of International Development Agencies, 3 September 2009).
A 2009 report by Amnesty International affirmed that, “90–95 percent of the water supply [in Gaza] is contaminated and unfit for human consumption” (“Troubled waters: Palestinians denied fair access to water,” October 2009 [PDF]).
The report cites an earlier study by the UN Environmental Programme which correlates the widespread contamination of Gaza’s water resources to the rise in nitrate levels in the groundwater “far above the WHO [World Health Organization] accepted guideline,” inducing a potentially lethal blood disorder in young children and newborns called methemoglobinaemia, or the “blue babies” phenomenon.
Some of the detected symptoms of this disease in Gaza infants include “blueness around the mouth, hands and feet,” “episodes of diarrhea and vomiting,” and “loss of consciousness.” “Convulsions and death can occur” at higher levels of nitrate contamination, the report concludes (“Environmental assessment of the Gaza Strip following the escalation of hostilities in December 2008-January 2009,” September 2009 [PDF].)
At the conclusion of Israel’s war of aggression on Gaza in late 2008 and early 2009, which led to more than 1,400 deaths, mostly civilians, EU leaders dashed to occupied Jerusalem to celebrate with Israel’s then prime minister Ehud Olmert, promising to support Israel in fighting “terror” (“World leaders push for lasting truce in Gaza,” The New York Times, 18 January 2009).
So, when the European Union, which is still actively colluding to maintain the Gaza siege, launches a relatively expensive public relations campaign all over Gaza — and the West Bank — with its main slogan, “Your Priorities are ours,” without a hint of sarcasm, it seems to be sending the Palestinians under occupation two blunt messages: first, we could not care less about your loss of human lives, freedoms and dignity, and second, “We set the priorities, you adopt them as yours, or else we cut funding” (“The priorities of the European Union are not ours,” MWC News, 18 July 2011).

Aljazeera, the broadcaster owned by the state of Qatar, says that Brahimi, joint special representative of the UN and Arab League, met Mikhail Bogdanov, Russian deputy foreign minister, and William Burns, US undersecretary of state. at an undisclosed location in the Swiss city on Sunday.
The broadcaster continuously repeats that the war on Syrian 'began with peaceful protests against Assad in March 2011 and escalated into a civil war'.
It keeps silent that its government pays the weapons, including automatic rifles, rocket-propelled grenades, ammunition and some antitank weapons, which are being funneled mostly across the Turkish border by way of a shadowy network of intermediaries including Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood.
That's why this broadcaster is so highly prized by the Western media.
Al Jazeera was, more than by coincidence, the only international news network to have correspondents in Iraq during the Operation Desert Fox bombing campaign in 1998.
Hillary Clinton says that the network's news coverage and videos are 'more informative, and less opinion-driven than American journalism'...

Sculptural works by Vietnamese students representing disabled child victims of the defoliant Agent Orange used by US army during the Vietnam War(AFP/file) New Zealand Confirms Supplying Agent Orange in Vietnam War
January 9, 2005
AUCKLAND - New Zealand supplied Agent Orange chemicals to the United States military during the Vietnam war, a government minister has revealed.
The disclosure led to immediate claims that New Zealand was in breach of the Geneva convention and could face a flood of lawsuits from veterans and Vietnamese.
Transport Minister Harry Duynhoven said the highly toxic chemical was sent to a United States base in the Philippines during the 1960s.
"The information that has been given to me is that products used to make Agent Orange were shipped from New Plymouth to Subic Bay in the Philippines," he told the Sunday News newspaper.
After nearly three decades of official denials, a high-level parliamentary committee formally acknowledged late last year that New Zealand soldiers in the Vietnam War were significantly exposed to Agent Orange, but no mention was ever made that the country was a supplier.
Although the National Party was in power during the Vietnam War, Duynhoven said his current Labour government was responsible for setting the record straight.
"Any government has to deal with the situation it finds itself in and it's always a problem if previous governments leave a mess."
Veterans spokesman John Moller said the government must compensate ex-soldiers and their families, some of whom have suffered generations of health problems.
"It's bloody unacceptable what the New Zealand government has done to us and the other countries involved in the war," he said.
"Through their deceit, cover-up and negligence, the New Zealand government has the blood of thousands of Kiwis, Vietnamese, Australians and Americans on their hands."
Under the Geneva Convention, countries cannot be party to chemical warfare and must declare the use or supply of defoliants during conflicts.
The vice-chancellor of Canterbury University, Scott Davidson, an authority on international law, said the government had left itself open to lawsuits from Vietnamese.

The Syrian Arab News Agency SANA, disappeared from the list of Google's search engine. That's not coming as a complete surprise. On 3.14.2012, America's Defense Department’s best-known geek announced that she was leaving the Pentagon for a job at Google...
Appeal to the Russian and Chinese press agencies
Can you spread the article 'Syrian News Agency no longer exist for Google', please ?
It is unacceptible that so called democratic countries, bomb journalists and deny the universally recognized human right to information.
The double speak used by the western propaganda machine all the time ('human rights', 'freedom of press',) seems me a refined form of nazi-propaganda that was used for the justification of bombings and occupations of sovereign states.

Palestine: Israeli army kidnaps 21 Palestinians in West Bank, Gaza
IMEMC & Agencies:
Israeli soldiers and Navy kidnapped, Saturday, 19 Palestinians in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip; 12 fishermen were kidnapped in Gaza territorial waters in Gaza, and nine in the occupied West Bank.
Local sources reported that Israeli soldiers invaded Sinjil village, north of the central West Bank city of Ramallah, broke into dozens of homes, and kidnapped five youths identified as Hasan Asfour, Waseem Asfour, Jabr Kreik, Ahmad Tawafsha, and Hussein Shabana.
The army also invaded Husan town, west of Bethlehem, and kidnapped four residents after breaking into and searching their homes. The four have been identified as Ismail Ibrahim Hamamra, Ramah Younis Hamamra, Mohammad Hamed Hamamra, and Abdul-Hamid Sami Hamamra.
Local sources reported that several children suffered panic attacks due to the violent way the army broke into the homes and searched them.
In Gaza, the Israeli Navy kidnapped, on Saturday morning, 12 fishermen and held their fishing boats in Gaza territorial waters.
The army chased the Palestinian fishing boats while they were only 1.5 nautical miles off the Gaza shore, and kidnapped 12 of them. The kidnapped fishermen were taken to Ashdod.
A few days ago, the Israeli Navy kidnapped ten fishermen after attacking their boats in Palestinian territorial waters, and released them later on.
The attacks against the fishermen come in direct violation of the ceasefire that was mediated by Egypt between the resistance in Gaza and Israel; as part of the ceasefire deal, Palestinian fishermen are supposed to be allowed to fish within 12 nautical miles.
This is happening despite the fact, under the Oslo accords, the Palestinians should be allowed to fish in 20 nautical miles off the Gaza shore, but in 2008, Israel unilaterally reduced the fishing area to 3 nautical miles.

While the Syrian population suffers from terrorist attacks carried out by armed groups paid and armed by the U.S. and its allies, NATO swims in luxury...
Ban Ki-moon who condemned 'in the strongest terms' the terrorist bombings which took place in the city of Jaramana in Damascus Countryside, keeps silence about the U.S. and its allies who are responsible for the terrorist bombings and killings in Syria. His silence as Secretary General of the United Nations makes him complicit in these crimes.
1) Obama signed a secret order authorizing U.S. support for Syrian terrorists seeking to depose Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his government. Obama’s order, approved earlier this year and known as an intelligence “finding,” broadly permits the CIA and other U.S. agencies to provide support that could help the terrorists oust Assad. C.I.A. officers are operating secretly in southern Turkey. The weapons, including automatic rifles, rocket-propelled grenades, ammunition and some antitank weapons, are being funneled mostly across the Turkish border by way of a shadowy network of intermediaries including Syria’s Muslim Brotherhood and paid for by Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Qatar. The United States is setting up joint military, intelligence and medical working teams with Israel, Turkey and Jordan.
2) British Foreign Secretary William Hague said Britain would step up its support for the armed groups in Syria, providing them with an additional £5 million (US$7.8 million). The money is used for terrorist bomb attacks and the undermining of Syria's government.
3) An official source told a SANA reporter that the seized arms included Nato sniper rifles, machineguns, hunting rifles, explosive devices of various weights, devices for remote control detonation and an amount of batteries and electrical wires.
4) The Belgian State Security "has not confirmed" the rumor that Belgian jihadists are fighting in Syria. The newspapers 'Het Belang van Limburg' and 'Gazet van Antwerpen' argued the opposite: "The State Security confirmed the presence of Belgian terrorists in Syria". Originally the Flemish newspapers relied on a report by Reuters, dated July 31th 2012, citing statements from "several rebel commanders in the north-west Syria," according to which "Muslims in Great Britain, Belgium and the United States had joined the Free Syrian Army (SLA)". On July 13th, Reuters pointed out a flood "of thousands of assault rifles Belgian FN FAL was in the hands of the rebels". In its annual reports, the Belgian State Security explains how and why she follows people attracted by fighting abroad: there was attention for Iraq, then, from 2010, to the movement towards Pakistan-Afghanistan border area; Finally, most recently, to new locations: "If the Afghan-Pakistan area, more than Iraq, was still popular in 2010 with the majority of volunteers for jihad", the Belgian State Security wrote in his latest report, "some of them began to plot their way to Yemen, Somalia and the Caucasus". And Syria now? "Obviously. Where they are beaten, those who return and who actually participated in the fighting have gained knowledge on how to handle weapons, strategy and tactics of war," noted the Belgian State Security yesterday. "This is the central reason for the Belgian concern". Belgian Senator Nele Lijnen said that she intends to launch a discussion at the Belgian Senate regarding the fact that the terrorists in Syria possess weapons made in Belgium.
5) The Swiss Authorities announced that they are investigating into information published by Sonntags Zeitung newspaper about hand grenades used by armed terrorist groups in Syria.
6) The weapons and military equipment recently discovered and seized by the Syrian Army in Idlib province proves NATO's arms and logistic support for terrorists in Syria.
7) The seized weapons in Salqain district in Idlib included 7.26 guns along with other weapons as well as boxes of gunshots with the words "NATO BALL" carved on them.
8) The Lebanese army intelligence has seized a large quantity of wea Lutfallah II container pons hidden inside cars aboard an Italian ship at Tripoli port, north of Lebanon, Lebanese security sources told Al-Manar TV.
9) This comes just days after the Lebanese Army Marines confiscated Lutfallah II arms shipment off the Lebanese port of Batoun while it was carrying 300,000 pounds of weapons within three containers. Reports said the cargo ship, which was flying the flag of Sierra-Leone, had left Libya and was bound to Syria.
10) Lebanese terrorist Mohammad Hussein Fares confessed to participating in smuggling weapons, militants and journalists into Syria and committing terrorists acts against Syrians. Fares said that they smuggled assault rifles, RPG rounds, sniper rifles, LAW missiles, machineguns and cases of ammo, delivering them to Amoun, with al-Jarban coming later to distribute them among terrorists.
11) US, Qatar and Saudi Arabia are arming AL-QAEDA Terrorists to commit Terrorism in Syria
12) Over 30,000 various weapons have been channelled to Syria since unrest flared up there in April last year, Amin Khteit says. The overall amount of explosives makes up 300 tons. The deliveries were made by Qatar and Saudi Arabia. They depend on the United States, which is making every effort to overpower Syria.
13) The authorities seized weapons smuggled from Turkey in Tal Abyad area on the Syrian-Turkish borders in Raqqa countryside.
14) A Turkish parliamentarian has stressed that Turkish ambulances are transporting weapons to terrorist groups in Syria, expressing their opposition to Ankara's policies on the Syrian case.
15) Western News item - August 9, 2012: Sarkozy urges Libyan scenario in Syria. Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, the spearhead of last year’s campaign to oust Muammar Gaddafi, has called for rapid international action on Syria, comparing the current crisis with the situation in Libya. Sarkozy has spoken with the Syrian opposition leader, Abdulbaset Sieda, and both agreed there is a need for foreign intervention in Syria in order to stop the ongoing crisis, Reuters reports.

16) Western News item - August 11, 2012: US and Turkey to consider no-fly zones for Syria - US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu are considering implementing no-fly zones for Syria after holding Saturday talks in Istanbul. According to Reuters, Clinton said that Ankara and Washington need to plan ways to assist the rebels fighting to topple President Bashar al-Assad – including possibly implementing a no-fly zone.

17) Western News item - September 6, 2012: France has embarked on providing direct financial and arms aid to insurgent-held areas of Syria and is even supplying anti-aircraft weapons to terrorists fighting Syrian Army forces. France has vowed an extra 5 million euros ($6.25 million) to help Syrian armed groups. France is considering supplying heavy artillery to the Syrian rebels. ( On November 15, 2012, France said 'it would float giving rebels defensive weapons' but in September 2012 it was already weapening anti-Syria-government groups. It is thus clear that the French government misleads the French people. Syria was a French Colony from 1918 to 1944...)
18) Western News item - November 13, 2012: France became the first European power to recognize Syria's new opposition coalition as the sole representative of its people and said it would look into arming rebels against President Bashar al-Assad once they form a government.
(Syria was a French Colony from 1918 to 1944)
19) Western News item - November 21, 2012: UK joins France in supporting Syrian rebel coalition - British Foreign Secretary William Hague told members of parliament Tuesday that the National Coalition of the Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces was the "sole legitimate representative" of the Syrian people, calling it a "credible" alternative to al-Assad.
20) Western News item - November 28, 2012: NATO General-Secretary Anders Fogh Rasmussen said that NATO allies will respond positively to Turkey’s demand for Patriot missiles within “days” and that command of the system will be under NATO control.
“Russia has no right to intervene in this process. This is a NATO decision; third parties have nothing to say,” Rasmussen said about Russian objections to the deployment.
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli echoed Kılıçdaroğlu and calling on the government to inform Parliament on the missiles. “We wonder why Prime Minister Erdoğan abruptly requested Patriot missiles from NATO. Have Syrian missiles been directed to Turkey?
(Syria was part of the Ottoman Empire from the 16th through 20th centuries. After the division of Rome into the Eastern and Western empires in the 4th century, Syria came under Byzantine rule. By the late 11th century, the Seljuk Turks had captured most of Syria)
France and Turkey are former colonizators of Syria
Photo taken in 1941: French General Georges Catroux is walking next to Nur-Eddin al-Khatib, the grandfather of Mouaz al-Khatib, the incumbent president of the National Coalition for Opposition Forces and the Syrian Revolution.
70 years has passed since France lost Syria as one of its colonies and was forced to recognise its independence. As recent events have shown, however, France just cannot ignore the colonial itch. It is doing everything to regain its sovereignty, although this time around, even if they conquer Syria, it would no longer be full sovereignty since France would have to share it with the USA, Turkey and other NATO partners. This is not troubling Hollande, however, who is backing every reprobate in Syria so long as the reprobate’s position falls within the neocolonial plans of France’s false socialists.
Back in the summer, French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault did not hesitate in saying that France was supplying Syrian fighters with communication equipment and other technology. He spoke as though the equipment was not for the purpose of killing.
And now the pseudo-socialist François Hollande has held a meeting with the old collaborator’s grandson, Mouaz al-Khatib. After the meeting in Paris, the ambassador of the Syrian terrorists showed up – a certain Munzir Makhous who, together with his boss, was part of the delegation who visited the Élysée Palace and implored Hollande to supply the fighters with heavy artillery.

MANAGUA, (SANA) - President Bashar al-Assad sent a letter to Nicaraguan President, José Daniel Ortega, conveyed by Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Dr. Fayssal Mikdad.
Miguel d'Escoto, the Advisor of Nicaragua's President for International Political Affairs received the letter on Saturday.
D'Escoto expressed, on behalf of the Nicaraguan Government, condemnation of all attempts to interfere in Syria's affairs and sympathy with the Syrian leadership, government and people in confronting the attempts of some countries to undermine Syria's sovereignty and independence.
He stressed his country's optimism over the inevitability of Syria's victory, voicing his country's readiness to offer all possible assistance to help Syria confront the current campaign.
For his part, Mikdad expressed gratitude for Nicaragua over its support to Syria in the international circles and defending the world's just issues.
Mikdad spoke about the attack on Syria and provocations by Turkey and some of the Gulf countries represented by arming, harboring and financing armed terrorist groups to destabilize Syria and undermine its principled positions in the face of Western greed in the Arab region.

I am 37 yrs old and was born with Severe Hip Dysplasia. From the time I was 13 months old, I had reconstruction surgery every few years until I was 17 years old and at that time had my 1st Total Hip Replacement. I am now getting ready for my 5th Total Hip Replacement and 4th Pelvic Reconstruction since 17. I am also battling several rare forms of skin cancer that are life threatening. These cancers are seen in older generations that have had "extreme carcinogenic and pesticide exposure". I have had no direct exposure to these. I have gone through 2 rounds of chemotherapy in the last 4 years only to have the cancer come back stronger. I am in surgery for tumor removal at least once a month. The hundreds of scars on my body are horrific. My Doctors cannot put me through anymore chemotherapy as I have been told my body will not make it. There is a drug that is currently in trials that at the very least would buy me some time. The drug companies manufacturing this have denied me access to the trial as I am "too sick" and would "mess up their numbers". I have gone several rounds with the V.A. only to be denied time and again because I don't have Spina Bifida and because my Father served in Vietnam and not my Mother. My Father served in Vietnam during the heaviest spray periods. I have had numerous tests done and every Medical Professional has said without a doubt ALL of my medical issues today and at birth are a DIRECT result of my Father's exposure to Agent Orange. He also has numerous medical conditions ALL of which have been linked to the Agent Orange exposure.”
1) On November 15, 2010, U.S. President Barack Obama praised Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for urging his cabinet to accept a U.S. proposal to extend a freeze on West Bank settlement building for 90 days. Under the plan, Washington would block UN resolutions critical of Israel, and supply Israel with fighter jets worth $3 billion. The US government also promised Israel that after the 90-day moratorium, they would not seek an extension, and settlement construction in the West Bank and East Jerusalem (all of which is illegal under international law) could continue unabated.
2) In February 2011, more than 100 nations voted for a U.N. resolution that would have condemned illegal Israeli settlements and halted any new construction. The United States vetoed it.
3) On February 19, 2011, Israel said it was 'deeply grateful to the United States' after it vetoed a United Nations resolution put forward by the Palestinian leadership condemning Israeli settlement activity.

Nov 12, 2012 - MOSCOW, (SANA) – Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Alexander Lukashevich reiterated on Monday that linking the future of Syria to those who depend on violence and terrorism is unacceptable.
In statements quoted by Russia Today website, Lukashevich pointed out that Moscow has recently expressed rejection of the gunmen's threats of downing civil planes in the Syrian airspace, adding that now there are threats against foreign diplomatic missions and citizens.
He said that Russia rejects the behavior of the fundamentalists in the Syrian armed opposition.
He also reiterated the call on all sides if the crisis to stop violence and launch a political process as soon as possible, calling on foreign players to support progress in this regard according to Geneva agreement endorsed last June.
Lukashevich affirmed that those who are thinking of modernizing Syria democratically in a manner that respects its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity should work through the framework of the Security Council resolutions and the Geneva Declaration.
He said that Russia believes that its primary task is working to end violence, save lives and launch a political process in Syria.
Regarding the efforts of international and regional sides to create new coalitions and alliances among the so-called Syrian opposition, Lukashevich said that as far as Moscow is concerned, this issue depends on whether the members of these coalitions are prepared to settle the crisis by the Syrians themselves without foreign military intervention and through dialogue and negotiations as per the framework of the Geneva declaration.
