Libyan NATO collaborators retreating

1956suezInvasion.jpg‎31.11.2011 - LIBYAN NATO COLLABORATORS RETREATING - NATO STILL BOMBING THE 'NO-FLY ZONE LIBYA'

The collaborators have been retreating from former strongholds along the eastern coast, and have lost the key oil port of Ras Lanuf and the nearby town of Bin Jawad, and are also in full retreat from Brega.
The White House has refused to comment on reports that US President Barack Obama has approved covert American support for the collaborators in Libya. Mr Obama has said only that he is considering arming the rebels.
Nato's Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen has said he is 'opposed to the idea of arming Libyan rebels, stressing Nato is in the country to protect and not to arm Libyans', AFP reports.
After the lies about the so called no-fly zone that was used for a military intervention in Libya and was well prepared by an international media-campaign, nobody believes the statements of NATO and U.S.
The NATO allies still hope for a civil war, military supported by bombings of NATO, in Libya.
Meanwhile, Syria's President Bashar al-Assad has well survived the organized political destabilization of his country.

NATO BOMBINGS IN YUGOSLAVIA (24.3- 19.4.1999)

From the onset of NATO aggression against our country up to 19 April 1999, the North Atlantic Alliance made over 7,000 criminal attacks against the territory of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. 700 warplanes, of which 530 combat planes, were used; more than 2000 cruise missiles were launched and over 6,000 tons of explosives were dropped.
About 500 civilians were killed and more than 4,000 sustained serious injuries e.g.  Three million children are endangered in our country as a result of war and bombardment by NATO.
After these barbarian attacks hundreds of thousands citizens have been exposed to poisonous gasses which can have a lasting consequences on the health of the entire population and the environment.
After the demolition of the Petrovaradin bridge, Novi Sad and Petrovaradin were cut of water supply (600 000 citizens) since the main and city pipeline was constructed into the bridge. About one million citizens in our country are short of water supply due to the bombardment of NATO.
About 500 000 workers became jobless due to the total destruction of industrial facilities all around the country. Two million citizens have no means for living and cannot ensure the minimum for existence.
Overall material damage is enormous. Preliminary estimates indicate that barbaric air strikes of the NATO alliance, since the beginning of the unprovoked aggression on the SR of Yugoslavia, on industrial, commercial and civil facilities and structures, have incurred damages in excess of 10 billion dollars. In the territory of the northern province of Vojvodine alone, damages have been estimated in excess of 3,5 billion dollars.

War in Libya: Obama lies again

Obama lies again

March 30, 2011 - While President Obama has insisted that no American ground troops join in the Libyan campaign, small groups of C.I.A. operatives have been working in Libya for several weeks and are part of a shadow force of Westerners that the Obama administration hopes can help set back Colonel Qaddafi’s military, the officials said.
The Central Intelligence Agency has inserted clandestine operatives into Libya to gather intelligence for military airstrikes and make contacts with rebels battling Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi’s forces, according to American officials.

Libya fights back: ship with aid for Gaza

Libya fights back: ship with aid for Gaza

Our Libyan Charity Foundation organized in June 2010 a ship with aid for Gaza. The ship was blocked by Israel, Greece (member of the NATO) and Egypt.
Greece and Egypt are closely related to the U.S. and Israel.
I don’t understand why everybody is demonizing my father. The U.S. are delivering for billions of dollars to Israel. Israel uses this money for weapons and air planes. All the U.N. resolutions critical of Israel. are actually blocked by the U.S. and its allies. That’s why Palestinian people are driven from their homes and why Gaza is bombed.

They accuse my father from bombing ‘his own people’…
In 1986 the US launched air strikes on Libya.
At least 100 people have died after USA planes bombed targets in the Libyan capital, Tripoli, and the Benghazi region.

Bruxelles: Manifestation 'pour la paix en Libye'

'NiKhadafi,NIl'OTAN'.jpg

http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/april/15/newsid_3975000/3975455.stm

Green imperialisme

sarkozy-cohn-bendit.jpg

GREEN IMPERIALISME - Daniel Cohn-Bendit, the president of the Green parliamentary group in the European Parliament, loves military interventions, as long as they satisfy imperial interests. His demand to impose a no-fly zone over Libya is only the first step. It would not be the first war which he would like others to fight for him; to this end he has been downplaying Nazi fascism for years: In 1993 he shouted at the Green party conference that war had to be waged against Yugoslavia because the Bosnian Muslims were a “part of European culture" and were "people with our same blood". In 1994 he seriously likened the situation in besieged Goražde with the Warsaw ghetto. Currently he is abusing the memory of the Spanish civil war, the crushing of the social revolution by the fascists, to justify a war against Libya: “… I know that every historical comparison is a bit silly, but still - [19]36 in Spain, we allowed the Germans, with Franco, to massacre the Republicans; it was horrendous, but the French, the English did nothing back then. I think that our generation should behave differently in this respect.”

Chechen political refugee Arbi Zarmaev will be murdered

Free Arbi !.jpg

CHECHEN POLITICAL REFUGEE ARBI ZARMAEV WILL BE MURDERED

The Belgian minister of justice Minister Stefaan De Clerck (Christian Democrats), signed on March 8th 2011, the decision to oblige the Chechen political refugee Arbi Zarmaev to leave the country and to extradite him to the Chechen authorities.

With some 40 Chechens and some representatives of human rights movements, we agreed to meet on March 21, 2011 before the European Parliament in Brussels and to protest against this expulsion and extradition. When I met the group (there was no action at that moment), an undercover policeman asked my identity card. I refused. Another undercover policeman and a policeman in uniform asked again my identity card. I again refused and said I had the right to move and to meet other citizens. I went with the Chechens to a little grass lawn with a beautiful fountain and I unfolded with the help of one of the Chechens, my banner 'Free Arbi - alive'. Then I asked the Chechens to come on the lawn so that there could be taken a group photo. Some undercovers and policemen in uniform prevented it. After a short time we were completely surrounded by a police cordon of 5 undercovers en 20 policemen in uniform. They asked our identity cards and no one of us was allowed to leave the circle of policemen. A policeman threatened to lock up me for 12 hours if I didn't give my identity card to him. One of the policemen pulled the banner out of my hands and destroyed it. After waiting a half hour we got our ID cards back and we were obliged to leave. A police officer told me that I was right by stating that the lawn was not owned by the European Parliament but that we had to ask permission to protest.
Arbi Zarmaev, the Chechen political refugee, is already 21 months locked up in the prison of Bruges. He was accused to have done his application to stay in Belgium under a 'false name'. He was also accused 'theft'. But these allegations seem to be incorrect. Arbi currently weighs just 50 kilograms (about 100 pounds). He has severe injuries in the face, showing that he is beaten. His family fears for his life. If he is extradited to Chechnya as former commander of the Chechen army, he will certainly be tortured and murdered. Arbi's wife and three children (2 years, 5 years, 10 years) are currently living in Belgium and fear that he will die.

Réfugiés politiques: homme Tchétchène risque à mourir

edf5248a64bd734b2465a87ce0d60f2a.jpg

No-fly zone Libya: role of Israel

It is clear that the Israeli government who does not speak of the genocide on the Palestinians, does not support Gaddafi.
This is not surprising. Israel is the main military ally of the United States, Great Britain and France who, for the reason of oil, want a complete control over the Middle East.

Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon, seen here in 2009, has said he believes a no-fly zone should be imposed on Libya to stop a "danger of genocide".

AFP - Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon on Tuesday said he believed a no-fly zone should be imposed on Libya to stop a "danger of genocide".

Speaking at a conference in Brussels, Ayalon said international moves to impose a no-fly zone over Libya to stop Moamer Kadhafi using air strikes against his own people, had not been discussed by the Israeli government, but added:

"If you ask me personally, I think it should be imposed," he said.

There was "a danger of genocide" in Libya, he said.

"Morally we have to stop it", Ayalon said, adding "Its best to have the UN's okay."

US and European leaders have been weighing the use of NATO air power in a no-fly zone as Kadhafi fights a bloody rearguard action against encroaching rebels.

Palestinian people: collective punishment

village of Awarta.settlers.jpg

According to the village council of Awarta, 19 people are still in custody after the Israeli military raided the village. Yesterday, around 8 am, the Israeli military cut off the roads to the village, preventing anyone from entering or leaving.

------

...'When the soldiers entered the houses to arrest people they flipped over furniture, smashed windows, threw sound grenades and shot bullets in the air.

Around 3 pm the soldiers returned a second time to search houses of the families who’s sons had been arrested. They forced the families to stay outside under armed guards for an hour while about 20 soldiers with dogs entered their houses. As they had done in the morning, the soldiers turned the houses completely upside-down, destroying the electricity by cutting the cables to the fuse box, and polluting the drinking water by throwing mud in the water-tanks. Computers and phones were destroyed and money and property were stolen by the soldiers. Once again the soldiers threw sound grenades inside and outside the houses.

While the soldiers were searching the houses, the families, including women and small children, were forbidden to drink or eat.

It has been reported that an 80-year-old woman who suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure was beaten by the soldiers. She was taken to the Rafidia hospital in Nablus.

The families of the men and boys that were arrested do not know where their sons, fathers, and brothers are or when they will come home.

Even though this kind of systematic collective punishment is illegal according to International law, is it frequently used by the Israeli military all over the West Bank and in Gaza.

European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek: 'democratic transition'

European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek.A.Lieberman.jpg

Brussels, 2 March 2011 - "Europe has a historic duty today to support the people in their fight for freedom and democracy against authoritarianism, repression and human rights violations," said European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek in a special meeting of the Conference of Presidents on Wednesday.   The Parliament's political group leaders expressed their support for the efforts made by the High Representative and also argued that the EU should play the principal role in helping the countries of the region in their processes of democratic transition, and urged a strong EU effort to help them in financial and economic terms, as well. On Libya, some wondered whether there is any possibility for further imposition of sanctions against the Gaddafi regime.

--------

Baghdad, February 25, 2011 - At least 19 people were killed in Iraq on Friday as tens of thousands defied an official curfew to join a nationwide "Day of Rage," echoing protests that have roiled the Middle East and North Africa since January.

Despite pleas by the government and Shiite religious leaders for Iraqis to stay home, demonstrators gathered by the hundreds and thousands from Basra in the south to Mosul and Kirkuk in the north.
Protesters expressed anger and rage at local leaders as well as at Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, storming provincial government offices in several cities and calling for more jobs, electricity and clean water, better pensions and medical care.
Security forces used tear gas, water cannons, sound bombs and at times live bullets to disperse the crowds. Fatalities were reported in Mosul, Fallujah, Tikrit and a town near Kirkuk, when security forces opened fire on demonstrators who were surrounding--or in some cases storming--government buildings. There were also clashes in Ramadi.
In the southern province of Basra, about 10,000 demonstrators forced the resignation of the provincial governor. In Fallujah, protesters forced the resignation of the entire city council.
In Baghdad, where Maliki imposed a curfew that banned cars and even bicycles from the streets, people walked, often many miles, to reach the city's Tahrir Square. Several thousand had gathered by early afternoon.
Surrounded by hundreds of police, soldiers and rooftop snipers, with military helicopters buzzing overhead, protesters waved Iraqi flags and signs reading "Bring the Light Back" (a reference to the lack of electricity), "No to Corruption!" and "I'm a Peaceful Man."
A spokesman for the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad downplayed the protest-related violence and the impact of the curfew, saying that Iraq's security forces "generally have not used force against peaceful protesters."

The 'revolution' in Libya: Hillary Clinton

Hclinton-aipac.jpg

Hillary Clinton, the American Secretary of State, will meet members of Libya's opposition fighting to topple Muammar Gaddafi, though no details were given about how those arrangements would be made.
The US also announced that it was suspending relations with the Libyan embassy in Washington, as President Barack Obama faced criticism at home for not taking a stronger leadership role in tackling Libya.
Several of the president's potential Republican rivals for the 2012 election have joined calls for the imposition of a no-fly zone to control Col Gaddafi's air power.

War propaganda in the Iraqi no-fly zones

IZD002Arabicf.jpg

In the Iraqi no-fly zones, the Coalition (U.S., England, NATO,) broadcasted the usual Arabic music and news, and messages aimed at dividing the Iraqi people and military from Saddam Hussein. One message, broadcast from a United States Air Force EC-130E Commando Solo aircraft flying over Iraq said, “Saddam has built palace after palace for himself and has purchased a fleet of luxury cars all at the expense of the Iraqi people. This money would be much better suited to build libraries and schools. This money would have gone a long way to provide better food and medicine for the people of Iraq. The amount of money Saddam spends on himself in one day would be more than enough to feed a family for a year".

The Coalition promised 'democracy'...

The so called no-fly zone is a preparation for War

IraqNoflyLeaflet.jpg

In fall 2002, the United States of America began preparations for a second war against Iraq. Part of the strategy was to increase the number of flights over the so-called "no-fly" zones.  The Iraqis were aware of the increased surveillance and met it by targeting Coalition aircraft with radar and occasionally firing anti-aircraft artillery or missiles toward the aircraft. This caused an escalating chain reaction. As the Iraqis fired on the aircraft, more aircraft dropped warning leaflets against such actions, which led to increased anti-aircraft fire. This led to the bombing of such sites and continued escalation.

By October 2002, there were 46 strikes by U.S.and British aircraft during the course of the year. Thirty-six of those were in the southern zone. The strikes increased, as it became clear that President Bush was considering ordering an invasion to oust Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

Iraqi no-fly zones were illegal

Iraq_NO_FLY_ZONES.png

The Iraqi no-fly zones were a set of two separate no-fly zones (NFZs), and were proclaimed by the United States, United Kingdom and France after the Gulf War of 1991. Iraqi aircraft were forbidden from flying inside the zones. The policy was enforced by US, UK and French aircraft patrols until France withdrew in 1998. While the enforcing powers had cited United Nations Security Council Resolution 688 as authorizing the operations, the resolution contains no explicit authorization. The Secretary-General of the UN at the time the resolution was passed, Boutros Boutros-Ghali called the no-fly zones "illegal" in a later interview with John Pilger.
